BUDDHA’S GUIDE TO A
HAPPY AND HEALTHY LIFE
A Spiritual Perspective
with Kadam Morten
Within Buddha’s teachings, we find clear guidelines not only on how to live a happy and meaningful life, but also on how to live a healthy one. In this course, we will look at some of the key components. These teachings, drawn from Geshe Kelsang’s books and personal advice, will give us clear and practical guidelines to create both mental and physical wellbeing. Through talks, guided meditations and discussion, we will investigate such things as eating, exercise, rest and relaxation from a spiritual perspective so as to clearly integrate a healthy lifestyle with our spiritual practice, improving our minds and our hearts along our path to enlightenment.
Pre-registration is not necessary. Everyone is welcome.

TRAINING IN HAPPINESS THROUGH MEDITATION
with Kadam Morten
Happiness is something we can train in. In particular, we can learn to use the difficulties in our life as the very means for improving our happiness. The key is to learn to identify those states of mind that produce unhappiness and tightness, such as anger and attachment; and gradually replace them with flexible, skillful, peaceful minds such as acceptance, love, confidence, and wisdom. In this series, we will explore training in happiness in situations that we are all familiar with such as work, family and relationships, and also just being ourselves.
Pre-registration not necessary. Everyone is welcome!

Meditation can help you to:
- Reduce stress and tension
- Reduce frustration and anger
- Increase happiness and inner peace
- Develop a calm and peaceful mind
- Overcome minds of anxiety and depression
- Improve relationships with others
- Increase inner wisdom
- Improve quality of life
- Let go of the causes of pain and dissatisfaction
