What Meditating on Death Teaches Us About Living Series:
What Happens When We Die
with Kadam donna campanelli
Vajra Light kadampa Buddhist Center
875 Mamaroneck Avenue
Suite 205
Mamaroneck, NY 10543
Why would anyone want to meditate on death? Isn’t that depressing? Not according to Buddha. Ignoring the one certainty in life - death - when thinking about living life meaningfully, makes no sense. It is in the full awareness of our own mortality that we naturally prioritize what matters most. In this sense, the meditation on death is profoundly life-affirming! It is the most spiritually motivating of all the meditations, making us want to take full advantage of every single moment of our precious human life.
In this series, through talks and guided meditations, Kadam Donna will take us on a journey into the profound implications of this special meditation that has been empowering spiritual practitioners for centuries.
Everyone welcome! Suitable for both beginners and experienced meditators.
